A Deceptively Bewitching Coup d"Etat


The following is an excerpt from an article sent me today from France by the group, Mouvement 6e République. On May 8 on this blog I wrote a blog about Emmanuel  Macron, the recently elected president of France, entitled, “A New Napoleon Ruling France”. Did our red states in America try to put a new Napoleon in Washington? In any case, the description below of how democracies now elect dictators is too accurate not to translate it from the French. (Look below the French text)


Nous avons changé d’époque : la mode n’est plus aux coups d’Etat violents d’autrefois. Pour renverser la République aujourd’hui, plus besoin de prise de pouvoir armée comme celle du 18 Brumaire ou d’occupation militaire extérieure pour imposer un maréchal Pétain ; le système institutionnel et électoral de la monarchie présidentielle joue très bien son rôle. En plus, c’est pratique : bien dissimulé derrière des sourires charmants et une belle propagande médiatique d’abrutissement des masses, le putsch ne se remarque même pas. Désormais, la mode est au « coup d’État enjôleur ». Depuis la Révolution française, tous les ennemis de la République, qu’ils s’appellent légitimistes, orléanistes, bonapartistes ou vichystes, ont cherché à atteindre le même objectif : étouffer la souveraineté populaire et bâillonner le parlementarisme. L’idéologie est toujours la même : le peuple ne doit pas exercer le pouvoir, et la démocratie parlementaire est une nuisance ; il faut confier tous les pouvoirs à un exécutif fort, conduit par un homme seul, responsable devant personne, qui gouvernera – comme par hasard ! – toujours dans l’intérêt des puissants.
C’est exactement cette idéologie que l’on retrouve dans l’arrivée au pouvoir de Macron.  

   We have changed to a different age. Violent coups d’etats of ages past are no longer fashionable. To overthrow a republic today, no need to grab power with armed men as in 18 Brumaire or by a foreign military power imposing on us a Petain. The instituted system for the election of the presidential monarchy acts its role very well. What’s more, it’s practical: well hidden behind beguiling smiles and a beautiful media propaganda for the dumbing of the masses, the putsch is not even noticed. From now on, a deceptively bewitching coup d’etat is in fashion. Since the French revolution, all the enemies of the republic, whether called legitimists, orleanists, bonapartists or vichyists, have sought to reach the same objective: stuff out popular sovereignty and put a gag over the mouth of parliamentarism. The ideology is always the same: the people must not exercise power and a democratic parliament is a nuisance. All power must be given to a strong executive, exercised by one single man, responsible to no one who will govern, as if by chance!, always in the interests of the powerful. It is exactly this ideology that we find in the coming to power of Macron.
  The United States Of the World movement differs, however, with their French friends on one essential point: there will never be real popular sovereignty except in a vast union of states in which states give up a small portion of their sovereignty and a central government has enough power to impose on all states of the union popular sovereignty in each state.

Fake News About the Declaration of Independence

   Nestor Ramos, a columnist for the Boston Globe, writes today (July 7), “Coming up with a novel way to celebrate the Fourth of July is not easy after 240 years and tweeting the Declaration of Independence line by line, as National Public Radio did this week, seems as good as any….These 1300 or so words set the founding of our nation in motion ….” The Declaration does say that the “people” of 13 English colonies are behind this great document but it is fake news that it is about “the founding of our nation”. 21 days before the Declaration on June 12, the Virginia Constitutional Convention adopted The Virginia Declaration of Rights. Thomas Jefferson used it for the opening paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence. Section 14 reads, That the people have a right to uniform government; and, therefore, that no government separate from or independent of the government of Virginia ought to be erected or established within the limits thereof.” Does Mr. Ramos expect us to believe that the 7 Virginia men who signed the Declaration of Independence 21 days later accepted that Virginia was now agreeing to being one state in a nation governed by a central government? Our great Declaration of our American freedom got rid bravely and morally of a government ruling our 13 states but it did not found a nation and clearly did in its own words create 13 sovereign independent states. The Declaration declares solemnly in its final paragraph, “that these united colonies are, and of right ought to be free and independent states; that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the state of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as free and independent states, they have full power to levy war, conclude peace, contract alliances, establish commerce, and to do all other acts and things which independent states may of right do.” The words of men pledging their honor to fight to the death for the freedom of their states do not lie. 18 Things Americans Can't Have


We can’t have a national government with full sovereignty.
We can’t have a national police force.
We can’t have a national education system.
We can’t have a national bank.
We can’t have a national language.
We can’t have a military set up to defend only us.
We can’t have one court system.
We can’t have only laws that are national.
We can’t have any law that a  judge can’t overturn on appeal.
We can’t have one citizenship.
We can’t have just 4 borders.
We can’t have  marriages performed by our central government.
We can’t have births in the United States.
We can’t have deaths in the United States.
We can’t have voting rights in 49 states.
We can’t have only taxes paid to one state.
We can’t have a central government that is a state.
We can’t have a State Department located in a state.

All Americans Are Like Trump

As bad as Trump is, he is us. 39% of us like him as he is and 61% either put up with him in anger or laugh at him. Those who laugh are the worst because their laughter means they care nothing about America. But do any of us care about America? We do, but we come first and America last. That’s the rule. That’s how it is. So we are all like Trump because he like us puts himself first and America last. Alone, cut off from any meaningful relationship with America, we are worthless. We want what we want not what America needs. We, us,Trump, we’re all the same, we’re all of us nowhere, hanging like clothes on a clothesline in the wind, men and women without a country, relying only on ourselves. We deserve what we get. Nothing and no one anywhere is like ourselves but we are so worthless being what we are cut off from America that our worthlessness makes us all equal. President Trump presents himself publicly as a worthwhile ego. We understand instinctively that his I is an empty I because all our Is are just as empty. He speaks like all of us speak. We speak and say nothing worthwhile because just like him we are all alone and all worthless.
   We can never be of any value living alone cut off from the world. If you cut yourself off from America you cut yourself off from the world. We must try as best we can to make the whole world with all its history a living part of each of us if we are ever to be true to ourselves. America for Americans is the world. We should put it first because that is the only way to make ourselves worthwhile in our own eyes. Meanwhile we are all like Trump. We do nothing to relate truly to America or to the world outside of America. We have no idea what America truly is because we remain blind to its true history and we all believe that only our own individual history is worthwhile. We make each of us our own history for ourselves, a history cut off from America and the world.

Great Unions Changed To Bull States

Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, after speaking with President Trump in the G7 conference, has declared that Europe is now on its own since it cannot rely any longer on the US. This means that, instead of two great unions of states, the US and the EU must now become super nations. Americans have already given up any idea that they live in a union of states and in the European Union it should be an easy business through media propaganda to transfer the surging nationalism in the various states to a super nationalism centered in a more powerful central government. Instead of uniting the 28 states of Europe and the 50 American states in one huge supremely powerful union of states guaranteeing world peace, free interstate movement of labor and capital, universal human rights and a free democratic government in each sovereign state of the union, the 78 states must now cower down humbly and accept to be no more than the provinces of two new bull states able to compete with bull states like China and Russia. The lie is that the bigger the union of states the more powerful are the big brother dictators in the central government. Think of it seriously. If the EU and the US became the United States of the World with one central government in Washington, with 56 European Senators coming to Washington to govern the union along with hundreds of European Congressmen, would our 78 states with limited sovereignty be less free than as provinces in unions that become no more than new bull states? Big brothers feel secure in bull states. In a grand union of 78 states with individual rights written down and guaranteed by a Constitution, big brothers have anxiety attacks because they cannot tolerate the rule of law and of free men.

Will France Fight an Economic Battle Against German Bankers?

Emmanuel Macron, the new French president, can win a great victory for France and for Europe by attacking the present European Union banking system. Just like the first Napoleon, he has enormous power over the French state and like Napoleon he should use it quickly to outmaneuver the Germans who rule so clumsily the sluggish and old-fashioned European central bankers. President Macron is an economist who knows well the American Federal Reserve banking system. He knows that it is a highly sophisticated system and that it works very well in a union of states. He should institute it in Europe and free local bankers in all the European Union states to create money for their local economies at their risk and as they see fit. This happens now in the US. Federal Reserve banks not controlled by any government support local banks by lending them money and freeing them to loan money well in excess of the small deposits they hold. This allows them to create the money supply from the bottom up by loaning businesses money independently of state central banks like those in the EU who now stifle European economic development by their stupid austerity measures. Recently when banks failed in Italy, the Italian government used public tax money to save the owners of the banks and did nothing for the average depositors who lost their money. The opposite happens with the US banking system. Federal examiners take over failed banks, save what assets are left, leave the owners to suffer bankruptcy and reimburse depositors for their loses up to $250000.
   The central government of a union of states should not use a central bank to create the money supply for a large group of states. Neither should it demand that states not take upon themselves deficit spending if they wish. No money supply of a union of states expands correctly if the supply is not created locally in local banks who understand where capital is needed to create profits and jobs. The Federal Reserve Banking system of the US is a working model necessary for full economic expansion in Europe. Like the first Napoleon with his army, the new master of France should use his knowledge of advanced economic systems to boldly and quickly outwit the present masters of the EU’s economy for the good of Europe.

The New Napoleon Ruling France

The first Napoleon used the French nation’s military power to unify Europe. The new one, Emmanuel Macron, will end the old French nation and unify what is left with Germany to create in fact a grand European nation. Since the victory of Russia over Hitler’s Germany, Europeans have hated Russia’s power. They hated America’s power too but accepted it grudgingly because they were not unified and weak.  Not anymore. Germany already dictates economic policy to a large group of states and the difficulties Britain is having leaving the European Union have taught states in the union how difficult it is to leave. The European states in the future will be dominated by French-German power and will come around to the idea of a great European nation. The European nation will need nuclear weapons and a system in place to deliver them for its independence from America. But France has them. Her new Napoleon is also like the first Napoleon more powerful than other Europeans militarily. Nationalism is vibrant  all over Europe but the nationalism of small states is a dead policy globally. The future belongs to big bull states like China, Russia, Turkey, India, Trump’s America and now the new big bull European nation that Macron’s election signals for Europe in the near future. France will never be an independent nation again and neither will other states in Europe. But bull nations are all the rage globally and Europe might as well create one in Europe.
